MEET JESSICA HAND

Hi there, I'm a final year Textiles Design BA (Hons) student at Nottingham Trent University, specialising in Woven Textiles.

I have a passionate attention to detail and design which is communicated through my organisation and resolved sampling techniques. My appreciation for colour and pattern is what heavily influences my design ethic. Material choice is also an interest of mine, as seen throughout my projects, by learning about qualities of fibres and using this to my advantage I enjoy playing around with texture and structure, moving away from traditional 2D flat surfaces.
 
I also carry an extensive knowledge of techniques throughout disciplines and material awareness as it is a continuous curiosity of mine. Furthering my computer based knowledge by learning and appreciating the advanced technical abilities available through Pointcarre software and Jacquard cloth to create precise imagery.
